 Unit 6: Endangered species 
 Date of preparation: 5/12/ 2022 
I. Aims: 
1. Knowledge: By the end of the unit, Ss should be able to: 
+ use the words and phrases related to endangered animals and plants properly 
+ know how to use future perfect and double comparatives properly 
+ know linking vowel to vowel clearly 
2. Skills: By the end of the lesson, Ss should be able to: 
+ read for general ideas and specific information and identify different opinions about 
protecting endangered species 
+ talk about how to protect endangered species 
+ list for specific information in a talk about why animals are in danger of extinction 
+ write a report about an endangered species 
II. Method: Integrated, mainly communicative approach 
III. Teaching aids: 
- A cassette player and CD, computer and projector 
- Pictures in the textbook and other materials (if available) 
IV: Anticipated problems: 
- Ss can find a bit difficult to guess the meaning of some new words in contexts 
- Ss can find it difficult to understand the listening passage to get specific information to 
answer questions in activity 5 
- Ss may have difficulty doing activity 2 in ‘communication and culture’ part 
- Ss may have no enough time to present their project

 LESSON 1: GETTING STARTED 
 Date of preparation: 5/ 12/ 2022 
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss should be able to: 
+ practice spoken interaction about endangered species 
+ decide true-false-not given statements correctly 
+ find out the words correctly 
+ find out sentences with the structures of the future perfect tense 
II. Teaching aids: Textbook, chalks, and pictures in textbook, CD, cassette player or 
computer
