  1. Aims/ Objectives

   By the end of this lesson, ss are able to understand the featuers and components of the book English 7 and know  the method of studying English correctly. They must seize their teacher’s principles and their tasks in the school year and what they need achieve after finishing English 7.

II. Language content: 

 Chatting about summer holidays, now activities, future activities. Through  that  students can review the grammar points /tenses they studied last year.

III.  Materials.

  • Text book 
  • Board, chalk,...
  • Board, chalk,...
  • A cassette and an audio compact disk.

The Method to learn English well :
. How to study?
- 4 skills: speak, listen, read and write.
- Content: Vocabulary, structures, exercises .
- Take part in activities actively.
- Ready to practice with your partners, groups.
- Try to seize the grammar structures, voc, pron. in class 
-*Practice at home.
- Review the lesson as soon as possible after the school.
- Learn by heart new words and grammar. 
- Do homework as requested after learning carefully grammar points being taught.
- Practice listening the lesson before class and again after the lesson 
- Practice speaking English with friend as much as possible.

	My friend, James, has two jobs. On Mondays, Tuesday s and Wednesdays he works in a hospital. He helps to take care of children who are ill. He goes to the hospital by bus. He starts at ten o’clock and works until quarter to five. On Thursdays and Fridays he works at home. He has a computer in his bedroom and he writes stories. In the evenings, one of his sons cooks a meal. After dinner they look in the newspaper to see what’s on TV or they talk about their day. They usually go to bed at about midnight.

Lesson 1: Getting Started – My favourite hobby.
I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Extend and practice vocabulary related to hobbies.
- Listen and read a conversation about hobbies in detail.
- Express their own hobbies.	
II. Language content: 
-Vocab: vocabularies related to hobbies.
-Grammar : Present simple tense, V-ing (gerund)
