UNIT 9: THE BODY.

Lesson 4: B1,2,3 -FACES.

A. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: 

- To introduce the theme of the unit: The body

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: describle faces  and colors by using face vocabulary.

1. Knowledge:

+ Vocabulary: about face, colors.

+ Grammar:             the present simple tense

2. Skills: Integraded skills

+ Main skill: speaking, listening,  writing

+ Sub skill:    reading 

3. Attitude:

Helps Ss to be eager to take part in activities related to the grammar points in the lesson.

4. Competences: 

- General competences: problem – solving, communication, creation and cooperation

- Specific competences: talk about  faces  and colors by using face vocabulary.

B. TEACHING AIDS

- textbook, pictures, flipcharts, cassette

C. Procedures:

1. Organization:  - Greeting

                             - Checking attendance

2. Warm – up: (5’)( remember and write words.)(RECOGNITION ).

3. The new lesson :
a. Presentation: (10’)
Activity 1: T presents new words. (Ss can understand and usesome new words- RECOGNITION ).
T presents new words. Ss reads , understand and use 
T uses picture, examples, explains to teach new words.
a. Present vocabulary: 
a. Vocabulary: 
- T present some new words by using the pictures.
His eyes	
 Ears
	Lips
	Teeth	(a tooth)	
His 	hair
	nose	
	mouth	
- T present some new words by using the realia.
Color: 	màu sắc
Black: 	màu đen
Brown: 	màu nâu
Blue: 	màu xanh
Red: 	màu đỏ
Gray: 	màu xám
White: 	màu trắng
Green: 	màu xanh
Yellow: 	màu vàng
- Repetition: Chorus – groups - individual
- checking vocabulary: Rub out and Remember (with the key)
-Ss write the words :
- T call some Ss to write the words on the board. 
-T calls some Ss to get feedback.
-T gets feedback and corrects it.
Activity 2:(listen and repeat the textwork in pairs to ask and answer). (UNDERSTANDING) .
b. Presentation dialogue:
T: Hoa has a new doll; Mai is asking Hoa about the color of its hair and eyes.
Hoa: I have a doll
Mai: What color is her hair?
Hoa: It’s black.
Mai: What color is her eyes?
Hoa: They’re brown.
- Ss listen nad repeat.
- Ss work in pairs to ask and answer.
Activity 3:( can understand and usenewstructure). (UNDERSTANDING) 
c. Model sentences
What color is her hair? 	It’s black
What color are her eyes? 	They’re brown
Hỏi đáp về màu sắc:
What color is/ are + Noun?
It/ They + is/ are + tính từ chỉ màu sắc.
b. Practice:	(15’) Activity 1: Word crossing ( practice speaking in pairs.)(- Low-application)

ânear, finger, ear, arm, toe, to, feet, teeth.
æeye, nose.
- T asks Ss to practice speaking in pairs.
{ Example:
S1: What is this/ that?
S2: This/ that is her/ his hair.
S1: What are these/ those?
S2: They are her/ his lips.
- Ss do as direct in pairs.
- T gives feedback.
Activity 2: b. Describe the fac...sson today.
5. Homework: (1’) - Learn by heart the old lesson.
 - Do exercises in the workbook

+ Grammar: 	the present simple tense
2. Skills: Integraded skills
+ Main skill: speaking, listening, writing
+ Sub skill: reading 
3. Attitude:
Helps Ss to be eager to take part in activities related to the grammar points in the lesson.
4. Competences: 
- General competences: problem – solving, communication, creation and cooperation

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:	to talk about how we feel using adjectives of physical state and recognize polite offers and requests with “what would you like...?’’ and “ I’d like some/ a/ to ...”

+ Vocabulary: feel, hungry, thirsty, hot, cold, tried
+ Grammar: Suctrure: How + do/ does + S + feel? → S + to be + Adj.
2. Skills: Integraded skills
+ Main skill: speaking, listening, writing
+ Sub skill: reading

Helps Ss to be eager to take part in activities related to the grammar points in the lesson.
