I. Aims and objectives:

  1. Educational aims: 

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to get further practice in speaking with “ tobe going to” to talk about plans for the near future.

*Language items:

- Vocabulary: revision.

- Grammar: To be going to

2. Skills: Integrated skills: Main skills: speaking, listening

                                                Sub-skills: writing, reading, 

3. Attitute: Students take part in activities and tasks in class, hard working.

4. Orientation of competence development:

- General competence: self-study, communicative and cooperative competences.

- Specific competence: using “tobe going to” to talk about plans for the near future.

- Methods and teaching techniques: Finding friends, prediction, gap-fill, ask and answer, chain game, mapped dialogue,…

- Teaching organization: individuals, pairs, groups, class,…

- Teaching aids: lesson plan, colored chalks, workbook, textbook, extra boards

          1. Warmer/ Check – up: 

* Aims: To check old lesson and lead in new lesson.

* Result: Ss are interested in reading the dialogue. Ss remember the structure “ tobe going to” to talk about plans for the near future - RECOGNITION.

2.2. Presentation dialogue:
- T introduces the topic: Ba is going to see a movie on the weekend.
- Ss drill the dialogue.( chorus- in pairs.)
3. Practice:
* Aims: Help Ss understand the dialogue and make their plans.
* Result: Ss remember vocabulary and practise speaking with “be going to” to talk about plans for the near future - UNDERSTANDING.
* Comprehension questions:

- In pairs, ss answer the questions.
